Maharashtra Maza: Memorable Trek

DATE : 28/06/2010 . My first trek was going to happen . The places were the two big forts. the FORT of IRON that is. " KILLE LOHGAD " & the KING of the FORTS "KILLE RAIGAD".My excitement was very very high at that time.
We were FIVE Friends named Abhishek Naik (me/Abu/gaadi), Swapnil Nawathe (lappya/ajju) , Prasad parkar (peter parkar) Sudesh Pawar ( matya) & Girish Naik ( jaadoo) .
Actualy we made the plan to visit tourist places between mumbai & rajapur. But why we visited only lohgad and raigad will tell you leter .

So , before 2 days of actual trek me, swapnil and prasad met at swapnil's place and planned the whole journy.And finaly we all decided to start our memorable journey @ SHARP 5 am.

Date : 27-06-2010 day : sunday.Timing 11.30 pm.

I , swapnil, sudhesh and prasad met at dahisar station and we reached at swapnil's place.We planned to sleep at night coz we wanted to depart in fresh mood.But we didn't slept for a single second :) .

@ 4.30 am we get down from swapnil's place and set every thing before departing.

approximately @ 5 00am we departed from swapnils place with the name of god ganesha "GANPATI BAPPA MORYA :) ).

So................... the journey was started with crushing the coconut . We caught Girish(jadoo) @ Dindoshi naka (goregaon) @ 5-15am. this guy was waiting for us from 4 30 am. :D coz swapnil told him that we are reaching in 10 minutes but matya was taking a bath at that time lolz.Then after catching jadoo the POCKET ROCKET of swapnil didn't stopped anywhere till mulund naka around 5.55am.the day was started with little light in the sky.

We took the halt because there was slight fault in the tire. The matter was not major, but for readers kind information these 4 guys are the AUTOMOBILE ENGINEER'S.They opened the Dicky and started changing tire.

And as it was rainy season suddenly rain started . We used the cover of the car as our rain coat. Did u saw any group of people who uses the raincoat in partnership :D :D?? Here is the Group :)

Hehehehe, so after changing the tire we again sat in car and the swapnil started his rocket :) towards kille LOHGAD ;) . During journey we were doing full on timepass , teasing. they were sharing there memories of their college , dhamal masti and all.

The climate was very very pleasant on the way to Khandala//Lonavala

after duration of appx. 2 hours we were reaching towards the base of KILLE LOHGAD,, there is small pass(ghat) on the way to lohgad with steep slope at that time road was very dusty as renovation was going on. Swapnil was driving and suddenly car wasn't going further, tiers were skitting on the road as the road was dusty.

Swapnil tried 2-3 times to pass the car but car didnt passed further. So me prasad sudesh and girish got downd from car then swapnil took the tiny reverse and then drove the car with some high speed and the car passed that difficult patch.

After passing this pass there was a great view of kille lohgad . It was looking like HEAVEN . We made some photosation there.

This was just a Jhalak , " Picture to abhi baki tha" , After clicking some snaps we moved on towards the base of fort.Swapnil parked the car we left our bags in car and took some water and snaks only and started to climb LOHGAD.

There are nearly 300-350 stairs from base to the top , while walking on the stairs prasad found some small narrow path which moves us in jungle.so we pick that way which was quite challenging . But we enjoyed alot while climbing by that way.One fuuny incident was happend :D Girish and swapnil were coming after me prasad and girish and suddenly the cover of swapnil's cam fell down from girish. Swapnil wer giving full on Gaali Garoch to Girish , hahahaha, has has ke pet dukh raha tha.We made some photosation here.

The time was 10 .00 am and we reached almost half the fort.We reached at the first Door of the fort.

The door is in good condition and it has 2 big chains. The weight of each chain will be appx 20 kg..

@ 10 30 am , we reached at top. The climate was very very pleasant and foggy we were feeling like roaming in the heaven.

The weather was so foggy that we were unable to see anything more than 8-10 feet from us.But swapnil was visiting this fort second time so he knew the path towards VINCHU KATA MACHI.This was our final destination on the LOHGAD fort.

When we reached the vichu kata machi I was completely confused , coz I was unable to find the path to reach the last pint, there was 15-20 feet 90 degree rock wall, so swapnil rasad and matya get down from that which was totaly risky and slippery , so me and Girish didint go further.

But there was one small slippery path from the right side so I and Girish also went towards the last point.At this point we clicked some snaps .That moment was unforgettable for everyone of us :) .
